Dr. Baker specializes in a variety of clinical areas, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, weight management, sexuality, trauma, grief, relationship issues, LGBTQ+ challenges, neurodivergence, neurodevelopmental trauma, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), and sensory processing issues. He is also well-versed in treating dissociative disorders.
Dr. Baker graduated from the Class 5 of the Partners In Policymaking (PIP) 2024, funded through Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities (ICDD). “Partners” is an innovative, high impact, values led, high fidelity and competency-based leadership training program designed for adults with disabilities and parents of young children with developmental disabilities. "Partners" has a dual purpose: to teach best practices and to develop the competencies necessary to influence public policy. Over the next three years, this project aims to graduate at least 72 Illinois citizens, preparing them to be community leaders who serve on policymaking committees, commissions, and boards at local, state, and national levels.

Dr. Baker has been practicing Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) since 1986 as well as many forms of stress management (including biofeedback, hypnosis, breathing techniques, progressive muscle relaxation, and several forms of meditation including Transcendental Meditation (TM) certification in 1996, as well as movement based techniques to manage stress.
